Agent careers at GPL

Build a career with greater purpose.

Our agents aren't here to sell policies. They sit with families before the hardest day arrives, help them build a protection strategy, and stay someone those families can call for years afterward. If that's the career you want to build, we'd like to talk.

Who we're looking for

Character first, experience second

Licensed agents and people exploring the industry are both welcome to inquire. What we cannot teach is character.

Coachable

You take feedback well, apply it quickly, and would rather learn a better way than defend an old one.

Ethical

You put the family in front of you first. Doing the right thing is not situational.

Self-motivated

You can work an agenda without someone standing over you, and you finish what you start.

Service-minded

You are genuinely interested in helping people understand and protect what matters to them.

Inquiring does not guarantee an interview, a position, licensing eligibility, an appointment or any employment status.

What you can grow into

A path with real steps, not vague promises

This is the career-path concept we develop people through. Actual roles, requirements and availability vary and are discussed directly.

  1. 01

    New Agent / Setter

Learn the fundamentals, the language of the business, and how to open honest conversations with families. Licensing may be required before certain activities.

  2. 02

    Producing Agent

Run your own appointments end to end: needs analysis, options, application and follow-through.

  3. 03

    Senior Agent / Closer

Handle more complex cases, mentor newer agents, and raise the standard of the work around you.

  4. 04

    Team Leader / Manager

Build and develop a team, run meetings, hold standards, and grow people rather than just production.

  5. 05

    Leadership & agency building

Longer-term leadership opportunities for people who have proven they can develop others. Structure and availability vary and are discussed directly.

Training & development

You will be taught, coached and held accountable

Simplicity scales. We keep the training clear and the expectations plain so new agents know exactly what to work on.

Structured onboarding

A clear starting path so you know what to learn first, second and third instead of guessing.

Sales fundamentals

How to open a conversation, listen well, present options plainly and handle real objections honestly.

Needs analysis

How to work out what a household actually needs protected before talking about any product.

Underwriting education

General understanding of how applications are reviewed so you can set accurate expectations.

Systems and CRM

Working an organized pipeline and following up consistently — because simplicity scales.

Live coaching and accountability

Team meetings, role-play and direct feedback on real cases. Show up and participate.

Greater Purpose Life is powered by Pinnacle Life Group, a relationship that supports our training and professional development. The day-to-day story here stays the same: GPL culture, GPL leadership and your work with GPL clients. Compensation, licensing, appointments and role availability are discussed individually — never promised on a web page. You can see the wider professional community on our Pinnacle Community & Events page, or follow the network on social. A small part of that culture is simply showing up together and looking like a team — GPL Gear shows the design direction. Gear concepts are not merchandise offers, rewards or incentives, and events and posts are not a guarantee of income, production or employment.

Culture & values

Purpose over profit. People over everything.

These are the standards we actually run meetings and coaching by — not slogans on a wall.

  • Purpose Over Profit • People over Everything
  • Go the extra mile
  • Do the right thing
  • Finish what you start
  • Simplicity scales
  • Leadflow × Workflow = Cashflow
  • Team meetings are a priority
  • Start and end on time
  • Show up and participate
  • Criticize in private, praise in public
  • Complain up, not sideways

How the opportunity works

Straight answers, in the right order

Licensing

A state life (and often health) insurance license is generally required to discuss or sell coverage. Requirements are set by each state and are not controlled by us.

Contracting & compensation

Compensation, contracting terms and carrier appointments vary by role, market and insurance company. Specifics are reviewed directly during the recruiting process.

Next steps

Share your interest, have a real conversation about fit, and get clear expectations before anyone commits to anything.

Questions

Agent opportunity FAQ

Do I need a life insurance license?
A state life (and often health) insurance license is generally required to discuss, solicit or sell coverage. Requirements, exams and fees are set by each state's insurance department. We can talk about where you are in that process — we cannot promise you will qualify for or be granted a license.
Can new or unlicensed people apply?
Yes, you are welcome to inquire whether you are licensed, in process, or just exploring the industry. Submitting the form is an expression of interest, not an offer of a position, contract or appointment.
Is training available?
Yes. Onboarding, sales fundamentals, needs analysis, systems and ongoing coaching are part of how we develop agents. Specific schedules and formats are covered during the recruiting conversation.
Is the opportunity remote?
Agents work in different ways depending on role, market and licensing. We will be straightforward about what a given role involves rather than describing something that may not apply to you.
What happens after I apply?
Someone from Greater Purpose Life reviews your interest form and reaches out to talk. From there we cover expectations, the licensing and contracting process where relevant, and whether there is a genuine fit in both directions.
